Accessibility and Interpreter Services

At Copacabana Medical Centre, we want all patients to feel welcome and supported when accessing healthcare. We aim to make our practice as accessible as possible and recognise that some patients may require additional assistance or communication support during their visit.

Disability Access and Facilities

Our practice offers the following accessibility facilities to help patients access our services:

  • Wheelchair access: Wheelchair access is available at our practice.
  • Accessible toilet: A disability-accessible toilet is available.
  • Accessible parking: Designated accessible parking spaces are available on the same side of the road as the practice.

If you have specific accessibility requirements or need assistance before your appointment, please contact our reception team on (02) 4381 1576 so we can discuss how best to support you.

Interpreter Services

We understand that clear communication with your healthcare professional is essential to receiving safe, effective, and appropriate care. Interpreter services may be available for patients who need help communicating in English or use Auslan (Australian Sign Language).

Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National)

TIS National provides interpreting services for people who speak languages other than English and for organisations communicating with them.

For more information about interpreting services, visit the official TIS National website.

Auslan Interpreting Services

Auslan Services provides interpreting services in Australian Sign Language (Auslan) for members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

For more information about Auslan interpreting services, visit the Auslan Services website.

Need Assistance?

If you require an interpreter or have specific accessibility needs, please let our reception team know when booking your appointment. Where possible, advance notice will help us explore suitable arrangements.

At Copacabana Medical Centre, we are committed to helping our patients access healthcare in a welcoming, respectful and supportive environment.
